Pride Month

Our spots are different, different colors. We make each other stronger, that ain't never gonna change. ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏿⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I stand here today as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, but it’s only due to all of the many lives that have fought for my freedom to be who I want to be, and to love who I want to love.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Let’s not forget that Pride began with a protest. A movement for change and equality.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
it’s important to remember and acknowledge that the gay rights movement started with the Stonewall riots against police brutality and oppression in 1969, which were largely led by LGBTQ+ people of color. Such as Marsha P. Johnson & Miss Major Griffin-Gracy. Two iconic black hero’s who fought back against oppression and helped bring about change and acceptance in the LGBTQ community.⠀

Now more then ever the community needs to stand up for the Black Lives Matter movement and fight to make a change! Be vocal, and start a uprising. Because a threat to one of us is a threat to all of us!
